About the UCV Library System
The
University of Cagayan Valley Library System is an important part of UCV instructions.
These are the heart and brain centers of the University, and special place to
do research and thorough study. The libraries provide each college with
intellectual, up to date and high-tech resources to support its educational programs.
The UCV
Libraries contribute to the quality of services offered in the academic
community, making it an excellent place for study and research. It has three
different aspects that are equally important. (1) It is a community center. It
nourishes the environment, one that information users enjoy with because it is
comforting and attractive. (2) It is a recreation center that information users
regard it as an active source of pleasure, whether their experience is genre
fiction, popular science, local history, magazines, videos or programs. (3) It
is an information center where information users are able to find and use
resources effectively. The UCV Libraries are responsive units that have adapted
and changed substantially over the years.

The UCV Library Logo
THE UCV
LIBRARY LOGO reflects UCV’s commitment to SERVICE as it caters to the
information needs of its users through print, non-print, internet resources and
other library resources to promote lifelong education.
The
torch in the center extols the support of the institution to educational, civic
and cultural activities of all information users. Furthermore, the torch symbolizes the grains of knowledge the
library shares with each clientele who comes and seeks for breath of
information for enduring and continuous learning.
The
book signifies the vast information of knowledge to its users that meets the
informational needs of all.
The
12 circular edges surrounding the logo connote the 9 colleges, 2 laboratory
schools and the Graduate school.
The
letter L within the circle speaks of how UCV library continues to evolve as
it meets the needs of its patrons through globally advanced technology and the
latest trends in information services.
Its
maroon shade is patterned after the UCV logo, while the blue shade in the
middle reflects constant teaching which the UCV library enhances to promote in
every information user.
As
a whole, the library logo communicates the vision-mission, objectives and the
extent on how the UCV Library helps uplift the life of an individual for which
the library provides a broad range of information resources that meet the
educational, informational, recreational, and cultural enrichment opportunities
of UCV community.
THE LIBRARIES
The University of Cagayan Valley libraries are found on
two campuses. These libraries are easily
accessible from any point of the campus.

2. Graduate
School Library is found at the 4th floor of the LPD building, Balzain
Campus.
3. College
of Health Library – located at the third floor of the Don Matias Ponce
Perez,
Sr. building. This library houses
library materials for college of health
allied professions.
4. Law
Library – found at the Balzain Campus located at the 2nd floor of
Don
Matias Perez Jr. Building and houses library materials for the college of
Law.
5. High
School Library – a separate library for high school students is located at
the
2nd floor of Linda Peres Del Rosario Building, UCV New site,
Balzain.
6. Elementary
Library – a library for elementary pupils found at the. 2nd floor of
Linda Peres Del Rosario Building, UCV, Balzain Campus.
